Certificated and Traceable Down "Track my Down"

Certificated and Traceable Down "Track my Down"

Down is an excellent insulator because its unique structure traps air, providing unparalleled warmth while being lightweight. It is sustainable because it efficiently reuses a natural byproduct of the food industry, minimizing waste.

We predominantly source our down from Allied Feather + Down, which is certified by the Responsible Down Standard (RDS) and bluesign®, reflecting our commitment to ethical and sustainable sourcing practices. However, on occasions when we do not use down from Allied Feather + Down, we ensure that the alternative down is also RDS certified duck down, maintaining our high standards for ethical and sustainable sourcing.

With 'Track My Down' from Allied Feather + Down, you can gain a deeper understanding of the premium down products that keep you warm, ensuring they have been responsibly sourced.

This comprehensive system traces every cluster of down from the farms, through shipping and production, blending, all the way to the factory, allowing you to discover exactly what makes the down inside your garment unique. This includes verified fill powers, cleanliness, content analysis, origin, and certifications, with every product featuring a unique ID number/QR code for a full insight into its background.

Following the care instructions and maintaining your garment is crucial to extend its lifespan and prevent issues. Dirt, abnormal wear, and damage can affect the material's durability.

Down Jackets

Follow care instructions to keep your garment clean, protect the fabric, and extend its lifespan.

First use – when you try on the jacket for the first time, hang it up so the down can fully expand. Some feathers may occasionally come loose from production, which is normal.

Repairs – if the garment accidentally gets a small hole during use, it can be easily fixed with a repair patch. Contact us and we will send you a patch and instructions.

Wash sparingly – air out and spot clean whenever possible. This saves water, energy, and reduces microfiber release.

Machine wash – use a gentle or down-specific program at 30°C. Close all zippers and wash separately with a biodegradable, fluorocarbon-free down detergent. Do not use fabric softener.

Drying – tumble dry on low heat with 2–3 clean, soft tennis balls until completely dry. Shake occasionally to keep down evenly distributed. Some models (Jämtland & Kiruna) require professional washing due to large size.

Water-repellent finish – The DWR treatment on your jacket wears off over time with washing and use. It prevents water from soaking into the fabric, keeping you dry and protecting the insulation. Restore the effect after washing with an eco-friendly DWR product, such as OrganoTex Spray-On or OrganoTex Wash-In (available in our webshop). Follow the instructions to maintain the jacket’s performance and lifespan.

  • Machine wash cold (30°C), separately. Do not bleach, iron, or dry clean. Tumble dry low with 2–3 clean tennis balls. Avoid direct sunlight or heat when drying.
