Blanktjärn Merino Wool Jersey is a soft and warm base layer made from 100% merino wool. The jacquard-knitted Varg pattern is integrated directly into the fabric across the chest and back, giving the piece its distinctive look. The half-zip and warming collar provide extra protection when temperatures drop. A next-to-skin fit and flatlock seams keep Blanktjärn comfortable for hiking, skiing and other active days outdoors.

Most of Varg’s wool products are crafted from recycled wool. Recycled wool fabrics often include synthetic fibers to bind and strengthen the material. Recycled wool is sourced from old garments, which are then carded and processed into new yarn. This approach reduces water, energy, and chemical use, and helps minimize waste.

Our recycled wool qualities are produced in Italy by a manufacturer certified with OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 and Global Recycled Standard (GRS), and who provides a declaration for mulesing-free wool.
